Romeo Langford got a late start to his second season because of a lengthy recovery from surgery for a torn tendon injured in the 2020 playoff bubble and then a stretch in the league’s health and safety protocols. However, the former Indiana University standout has become an important part of the Celtics’ rotation since his return.
While his value has primarily been as a versatile wing defender able to help hold down the fort in spot starts, Langford has had solid outings off the bench. He’s averaging 2.4 points and as many rebounds per game, though his efficiency needs work.
That should come with repetition, something the New Albany native has had little of during his tenure with the Celtics. But, with some luck, that’ll be a thing of the past moving forward.
