The Knicks are the No. 4 seed in the East and fans outside MSG are rightfully celebrating it

LET KNICKS FANS HAVE THIS!!!

That is not a typo.

The New York Knicks, as of Thursday morning, are 33-27 and own the No. 4 seed in the East at the moment. They have won eight straight, with victories over some tough teams (including the No. 5 seed — at the moment — in the Atlanta Hawks, and the Memphis Grizzlies). If the season ended today, they wouldn’t be in the play-in games.

As a Knicks fan who’s written about this team a lot, I’m not sure what to do with myself. This team can play, it might be the kind of momentum needed to attract free agents, and they could actually win a playoff series for the first time since 2013. Zion Williamson loves playing in New York (I’m not buying into that storyline … yet). Optimism??? What a feeling!

I’ll repeat myself from the last post I wrote about celebrating fans outside of Madison Square Garden: Let us have this!!!! Check out these die-hards going nuts both inside MSG and outside:

What. A. Feeling.
