WATCH: New Celtic Jabari Parker scores 11 points, 4 boards in Boston debut

The Duke product had a very solid debut for Boston off the bench.

Former No. 2 pick in the 2014 NBA draft Jabari Parker has had some bad luck in the injury department in the past, but on Saturday night, another chance to put that behind him was underway as the Chicago native played his first game as a Boston Celtic.

Parker suited up in green and white for the first time in a home game against the Golden State Warriors, where the Duke product exceeded expectations against the smattering of attendees allowed in TD Garden. He put up a very solid 11 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes of playing time, shooting 5-of-6 from the floor and 1-of-2 from the free throw line.

He did not accrue any personal fouls and only turned the ball over twice, looking every bit the spark Boston needs off the bench.

While it was just one game as a Celtic, it hints that the team may have just hit a home run heading into the postseason with bringing on the forward. And after the season this team has weathered, it ought to be a much-welcomed addition.
