For the seventh time in his career, Steph Curry will lace up with the starting lineup of an NBA All-Star game.
On Thursday, the NBA announced the Golden State Warriors point guard will join LeBron James (Lakers), Kevin Durant (Nets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Luka Doncic (Mavs), Kawhi Leonard (Clippers), Kyrie Irving (Nets), Nikola Jokic (Nuggets) and Bradley Beal (Wizards) as All-Star starters for the 2021 game in Atlanta.
Following the announcement, Curry took to social media to thank the fans for voting him in as a starter. On Twitter, the two-time Most Valuable Player wrote he was “humbled and honored.”

After missing most of last season due to injury, Curry’s numbers have quickly returned to All-Star caliber. Through 29 games, the Golden State guard is averaging 30 points on 49.2% shooting from the field with six assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. From beyond the arc, Curry is averaging five triples a game on 42.5% shooting from deep. On his way to earning another bid to the All-Star game in 2021, Curry has exploded for a career-high 62 point performance and a 57 point effort.
Starting with a four-game road swing that begins in Orlando on Friday, Curry will have eight contests to add to his first-half numbers before the All-Star game tips off.
The 2021 All-Star game is scheduled for Sunday, March 7 at 5 p.m. PST at the home of the Atlanta Hawks. Prior to the contest, Durant and James will be responsible for drafting the teams on March 4 at 5 p.m. PST.
