LeBron James said he wants to make a rap album without rapping, and that’s a great thing

Maybe Bron should make a record label.

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game — maybe the greatest depending on how you feel.

His resume is untouchable. He’s got records on records on records. He’s got four championships and is still counting. There’s no questioning his skill and his legacy here.

One thing he’s not great at? Rapping. We know that, too. He loves hip-hop. He considers himself a rap aficionado. But he’s…just not good at rapping.

He’s got a song with Kevin Durant where the two are just trading mediocre bars and, while it’s cool to know that two of the best hoopers ever are on a track together, it was just awful to listen to.

Despite that, though, James says he wants to make a rap album. Thankfully, without rapping.

There are lots of things James can do to have his own rap album. Maybe he can learn how to produce! Or maybe he can be an A&R another album like he did with 2 Chainz’s joint that dropped a couple years ago. That album was alright!

Maybe he can just create a record label. I mean, he’s got a video production company in Spring Hill. Why not be a hip-hop executive, too? There are so many options here for James.

As long as he’s not rapping, we’re good.
