Josh Heupel was hired on Jan. 27 as Tennessee’s head coach.
Heupel served as UCF’s head coach from 2018-20, compiling a 28-8 record.
He was Missouri’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in the Southeastern Conference in 2016 and 2017. In 2015, Heupel was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Utah State.
Heupel was co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Oklahoma from 2011-14, where he guided the Sooners as a starting quarterback to the 2000 BCS national championship. He also served solely as Oklahoma’s quarterbacks coach from 2006-10.
Heupel is in the process of putting together his first staff with the Vols.
