Lu Dort, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are day-to-day without ‘specific’ timeline

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort are day-to-day with injuries that OKC Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said are ‘not overly serious.”

Lu Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remained out of the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup for the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Prior to the game, head coach Mark Daigneault said neither player has a “specific” timetable, but that there isn’t anything “overly serious” for either player.

Dort was injured during the first quarter of the game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. He is out with left knee soreness.

Gilgeous-Alexander suffered a left knee sprain against the Rockets on Monday.

“Those guys are both better today than they were yesterday, and it’s nothing overly serious with them,” Daigneault said Friday evening. “Not (a) specific (timeline) but it’s not overly serious for either of them. That’s the only thing I can really say.”

He called both players day-to-day.

In addition, guard Theo Maledon was out for health and safety protocol reasons.

The starting lineup against the Timberwolves was Hamidou Diallo, Kenrich Williams, Darius Bazley, Isaiah Roby and Al Horford.
