Baker Mayfield leads Cleveland Browns to first playoff win in 26 years

Former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield led the Cleveland Browns to their first playoff win in 26 years on Sunday night.

It took over two and a half decades, but the Cleveland Browns have finally won another playoff game as they defeated the rival Pittsburgh Steelers 48-37 on Sunday night.

Leading the charge was former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield who was sharp, and did what he needed to do to help lift the Browns to their biggest win in a very long time. He had three huge touchdown passes in the victory.

Mayfield finished the night 21 for 34 passing for 263 yards and the three scores. He also didn’t turn the ball over in a night where his counterpart, future hall-of-famer Ben Roethlisberger, threw four absolutely back-breaking interceptions.

The win is understandably massive for the city of Cleveland and for the franchise that has long been the laughingstock of the league. The incredible bounce back season for Mayfield and the Browns after the disappointment of last season has been a remarkable story this season and it will now get to live on for at least another week.

On deck next will be the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.
