The Philadelphia 76ers recently signed two players to exhibit 10 contracts in order to get their camp roster up to 20.
They will now waive those same two players.
The Sixers signed Justin Robinson to a contract on Sunday and they will then waive him on Monday. Along with Robinson, the team is also waiving Lamine Diane as they continue to make room on the roster for some incoming players.
The trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder is set to finally become official on Tuesday which means Danny Green and Terrance Ferguson will need to be added to the roster. The team’s training camp roster was at a maximum of 20 and waiving Robinson and Diane will allow Green and Ferguson on the roster.
Making room for the Al Horford to OKC trade, no doubt. The trade can become official tomorrow. Sixers roster was at 20 players before waiving Diane and Robinson. https://t.co/ymnKM2O1r2

The Sixers can now retain Robinson’s G League rights if he signs with a G League team. One can expect him to end up with the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League affiliate, at some point this season. [lawrence-related id=39959,39955,39952]
