The Tennessee Titans (8-3) have called a “Code Blue” for Sunday’s contest at Nissan Stadium versus the Cleveland Browns (8-3). Not as dire a situation as it may seem — the Titans will suit up in their light-blue jerseys and britches — but still a game of importance.
All of us remember the 43-13, Week 1 beatdown the Titans served the Browns in 2019. The victory came after an offseason full of media pundits calling for a Lombardi Trophy delivery in Cleveland. The football gods had other plans and handpicked the Titans to make a run deep into the playoffs.
Back to 2020; if the Titans are unable to ward off the Indianapolis Colts and effectively win the AFC South, the playoff implications in this game could be gigantic. The Pittsburgh Steelers (11-0) are probably out of reach for the Browns, meaning a Wild Card bid will be their season’s outcome.
This game will be a slug-fest, and while both teams are similar in physicality, the Titans should have the upper hand here. Let’s take a look at the matchups to watch in Week 13.
