The Baltimore Ravens went into the Week 11 contest against the Tennessee Titans no doubt looking for revenge after Tennessee defeated Baltimore in the Divisional Round of last year’s playoffs.
However, that wasn’t to be, as the Titans emerged victorious over the Ravens in overtime, 30-24, giving Tennessee a leg up on Baltimore in the AFC playoff race.
Jackson was kept in check for much of the contest. He finished with 51 yards on the ground and threw for just 186 yards, with one touchdown to one pick.
After the game, Jackson said he believes the Titans “wanted it more” than the Ravens, a team that should have had plenty of motivation coming into this game.
“That team,” Jackson said, per Jim Wyatt of Titans Online. “… It looked like that team wanted it more than us. They were playing physical. When we went up, I felt like we just took our foot off the gas. But we just have to keep it going for the team.”
That should be startling to hear if you’re a Ravens fan.
In the past, Jackson has made it no secret about how difficult it was to deal with the loss to the Titans in last year’s playoffs, and there’s no doubt this most recent loss didn’t help him get past that.
