Both the Suns and Thunder come out winners in their blockbuster Chris Paul trade

We have our first blockbuster of the NBA offseason.

Although not everyone thought it was the best idea (okay, fine, it was me and maybe only me who was down on this!), per reports from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Oklahoma City Thunder traded future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns.

On paper, it’s a HUGE move for the Suns, who upgrade their point guard position and give Devin Booker some help in the backcourt. The Thunder get some compensation back for a star they didn’t need as their youth movement takes another step toward a rebuild.
