Coach Mike Tomlin on injuries:
Devin Bush – significant knee injury
Mike Hilton – shoulder being evaluated
Maurkice Pouncey – foot— Teresa Varley (@Teresa_Varley) October 18, 2020
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a huge statement on Sunday by routing the Cleveland Browns 38-7. However, it came at a cost. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed injuries after the game and the news wasn’t great.
Top of the list was the knee injury suffered by linebacker Devin Bush. It looked bad at the time and Tomlin’s evaluation as being significant doesn’t bode well.
Tomlin also reported cornerback Mike Hilton was being evaluated for a shoulder injury as is center Maurkice Pouncey with a foot. We can only assume this isn’t a new foot injury. Pouncey was the wrong end of some friendly fire and got rolled up on.
Robert Spillane subbed in for Bush and played well. Cameron Sutton saw an uptick in snaps due to Hilton’s injury.
