Spencer Rattler back in as Oklahoma’s starting QB against Texas

Oklahoma redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler has returned to the game after leaving in the second quarter.

After being taken out of the game in the middle of the second quarter in favor of Tanner Mordecai, Oklahoma redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler is back in the game to open the second half.

When Rattler came out, it appeared he was getting some work done on his right arm in the bicep/shoulder area.

But, Lincoln Riley told FOX Sports’ Jenny Taft that he was not injured and that he just wanted to get Mordecai “involved.”

Rattler had turned the ball over twice before being removed from the game.

In Rattler’s first drive back, albeit on a short field, the Sooners punched in a touchdown to take a 24-17 lead early in the third quarter.
