Kevin Durant was asked whether Warriors or Thunder has better fan base

Kevin Durant gave an evasive response when asked to choose between Warriors fans and Thunder fans.

Despite not playing a game this past NBA season, Kevin Durant has remained fairly popular. The former Thunder and two-time NBA Finals MVP has never been afraid to speak his mind, and over the recent past, he’s proven that again.

Durant launched his own podcast, The Etcs with Kevin Durant, and also made an appearance on The Players’ Tribune’s Text Message Talkshow with Dorell Wright.

The “show” features screenshots of text message conversations that Wright has with guests discussing a number of subjects. His most recent guest was none other than Durant.

After a back-and-forth exchange in which the two shared random thoughts about many subjects, Wright asked Durant to choose between Warriors fans and Thunder fans.

Interestingly enough, it was a rare occasion in which the former MVP decided to withhold his feelings.

The terminated with Durant using a meme as his response before making it clear that he refuses to choose. See for yourself:

For what it’s worth, Durant enjoyed eight productive years in Oklahoma City, which included a trip to the NBA Finals back in 2012. Even after his departure, Oklahoma City has been long considered one of the NBA’s best markets to play in.

Similar things can be said of Oakland, however, so perhaps it would be interesting to know how Durant truly feels about the question.

In a rare instance, however, the 32-year-old proved himself to be quite wise and realized that choosing between two fan bases that supported and cheered for him was a no-win situation.

Durant clearly wasn’t born yesterday.
