Two of the Green Bay Packers’ best players weren’t available as Matt LaFleur’s team began on-field preparations for the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday.
Receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) and defensive lineman Kenny Clark (groin) were both non-participants at practice on Wednesday.
Adams injured his hamstring during Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions, while Clark is still recovering from a groin injury suffered in Week 1. Both Pro Bowlers have undetermined statuses for Sunday night against the Saints.
The Packers did have center Corey Linsley, who was a full participant on Wednesday despite hurting his snapping hand and departing in Week 2. Offensive lineman Billy Turner (knee) was a full participant, and both tight end Josiah Deguara (shin) and outside linebacker Randy Ramsey (groin) returned to practice after missing Sunday’s win at Lambeau Field.
The Packers will practice twice more this week, including a padded practice on Thursday. They will provide official injury designations on Friday.
The Saints had four players unable to practice on Wednesday, including receiver Michael Thomas and edge rushers Marcus Davenport and Trey Hendrickson.
