Sixers F Matisse Thybulle snubbed from 2020 NBA All-Rookie Teams

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle was not named to any of the All-Rookie Teams.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle fashioned up an impressive first season in the NBA has he blossomed into an elite defender. He led the entire rookie class in steals and he was near the top of the class in blocked shots which is impressive for a perimeter player.

However, as the NBA revealed their All-Rookie First and Second Teams, Thybulle was nowhere to be seen on those lists. The First Team was comprised of Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, Kendrick Nunn, Zion Williamson, and Eric Paschall while the Second Team was headlined by Tyler Herro, Terence Davis II, Coby White, P.J. Washington, and Rui Hachimura.

As the final voting information came out, Thybulle did receive six votes for the First Team and another 43 for the Second Team.

It is understanding why Thybulle did not make either team. He only averaged 4.7 points and he is not a guy who is going to wow anybody with any great offensive move. Still, he was terrific on the defensive end of the floor and his impact on that end was felt. [lawrence-related id=37670,37664,37660]
