Colts rookie RB Jonathan Taylor gets to work behind the best OL in football

The former Badger gets to work behind an extremely talented offensive line in his rookie campaign

As rookie Badgers get set to make their NFL debut, there is no first-year Wisconsin product more ready to make an immediate impact than Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor.

The two-time Doak Walker Award winner is set to work in a Colts backfield that feautres Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Jordan Wilkins. The former Badger is expected to have a key role leading the way alongside Mack.

For Taylor, the biggest aspect of heading to Indianapolis could be the skill inside the trenches. According to Pro Football Focus, the Indianapolis Colts are the top offensive line in the league led by All-Pro left guard Quenton Nelson.

In 2019, Nelson had the No. 2 run-blocking score and No. 7 pass-blocking score according to the PFF metrics. The Colts also resigned left tackle Anthony Castonzo this offseason, creating a unit that returns every piece from a year ago.

Coming from OLU at Wisconsin, Taylor is used to running behind skilled offensive lines. The newest Colt gets the chance to make a massive impact as a rookie behind the best unit in football.
