With members of the Golden State Warriors busy on the outside of the Orlando Bubble, Warriors Wire is highlighting former Dubs at Disney World.
For the first time in years, Andre Iguodala isn’t joining Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on the court in the NBA Playoffs. Instead, the veteran swingman is suiting up in black and red for the Miami Heat in the 2020 edition of the postseason.
In game five of the Heat’s second-round series against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, Iguodala laced up for 18 minutes off the bench. With an opportunity to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, the former Golden State sixth man tallied six points on 3-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.

During the game, Green chimed in on Twitter with a message about a play from his former teammate. The Golden State forward reached out to Curry, saying he “called” Iguodala strip against the Bucks.

With reigning Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo on the sideline due to an ankle injury, the Bucks relied on Khris Middleton to help extend the series. However, the All-Star’s 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists weren’t enough to slow down the Heat’s balanced attack.
Six of the Heat’s nine members notched double-figures in scoring. Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic each recorded 17 points to lead Miami past the Bucks in game five, 103-94.
In 27 minutes off the bench, Miami’s rookie Tyler Herro added 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting with eight rebounds, six assists, a steal and an assist. The Kentucky product knocked down three of his seven attempts from beyond the arc, earning a game-high +23.
After two rounds, Spoelstra’s group is 8-1 inside the Orlando Bubble version of the NBA Playoffs. Iguodala and the rest of the Heat will now wait for the finish of the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors series.
