According to Pittsburgh Steelers reporter Gerry Dulac, there is still a chance the Steelers sign another pending free agent to a new contract before the start of the season. Dulac sent out the above tweet with gives hope that Pittsburgh is going to use the bit of salary cap left to get another 2021 free agent locked up before Pittsburgh falls into the red with the cap.
Who could it be? The Steelers have plenty of guys to pick from. Here are the 17 Steelers unrestricted free agents to pick from now that defensive tackle Cam Heyward is locked up.

Which player would you sign to a new deal and why? For us, it’s hard to look past cornerback Mike Hilton in terms of priority free agents who the Steelers could afford. Everyone else on the list feels pretty replaceable including wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back James Conner.
If the Steelers are going to get another extension in before their first regular-season game, which pending free agent would you pick? Let us know.
