In addition to making their final roster cuts, the Los Angeles Rams also moved a couple of players off the active roster and onto injury lists. The team announced on Saturday that it has placed linebacker Travin Howard on injured reserve, ruling him out for the 2020 season, as expected.
Additionally, the Rams placed A’Shawn Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list. He won’t count toward the 53-man roster, but he’ll also have to miss the first six weeks of the regular season.
After those six weeks, Robinson can begin practicing but can’t return to the 53-man roster until the Rams have played eight games. Robinson was diagnosed with a cardiovascular condition during training camp when players arrived.
Robinson was one of the Rams’ biggest free-agent additions, along with outside linebacker Leonard Floyd. He was expected to be the team’s starting nose tackle, alongside Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.
