Prediction

Lakers 115, Trail Blazers 113

Moneyline (ML)

After back to back impressive wins, the Lakers (-385) are heavy moneyline favorites over the Trail Blazers (+300) in Game 4. Los Angeles has found a way to slow down Portland’s offense, holding them to just 98.6 points per game in the series.

While the Lakers have had their offensive problems at times, they’ve scored over 110 points in each of the last two games. Los Angeles is clearly the better team in this series, but there just isn’t enough value on the moneyline to take the Lakers.

PASS on this bet in favor of the point spread.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

After covering in the last two games, the Lakers head into this contest as 7.5-point favorites over the TRAIL BLAZERS +7.5 (-110). While the Lakers are starting to play better after struggling early in the NBA restart, they are still only 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games. A lot of that has to do with their poor free-throw shooting as they missed 15 FTs Saturday night.

As for the Blazers, they have struggled against the spread recently as well, covering just twice in their last five games. With this spread being as big as it is and the Blazers holding big leads in two of these games, look for them to keep it close and cover the spread Monday night.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Western Conference playoff game is set at 224.5 points, and that is a notable line considering none of the first three games exceeded 224.5 points. Both teams appear to be getting back into their own rhythms on offense and with this being a critical game for Portland, look for the Blazers to play with more urgency on offense.

They will likely be aggressive taking the ball to the basket, hoping to get to the free-throw line. Take the OVER 224.5 (-110) to hit for the first time in this series.
