While the Badgers already have a strong recruiting class on both sides of the football in 2021, the position that was missing from that group was WR. Wisconsin went a long way in solidifying that position today, as 2021 WR Skyler Bell chose UW.
The three-star prospect out of the Taft School in Connecticut chose the Badgers over the likes of Iowa, who had multiple 247Sports crystal ball predictions, West Virginia, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech among others.
As a receiver and a kick returner, Bell put up solid 2019 numbers according to his Hudl highlight tape. The future Badger had 36 grabs for 549 yards and 8 touchdowns through the air, while returning two kicks for touchdowns.
Wisconsin, and the 2021 group chat filled with the commits in the class, had been heavily recruiting Bell and hopping on Zoom calls with him frequently in the past few months.
Also on the podcast, Wisconsin QB commit Deacon Pe’a Hill told me that the class of 2021 group chat has been recruiting 2021 WR Skylar Bell and some of the #Badgers commits recently hopped on a zoom call with him. Filling out WR seems to one of the final pieces in 2021
