The Brooklyn Nets are 0-for-3 against the Orlando Magic in 2019-20, but even if they go 0-for-4 it won’t matter — because the Nets have locked up the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Magic are still in the playoffs, too. However, they’re stuck at No. 8 and destined to meet up with the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs as a result.
As for Tuesday’s 1 p.m. meeting, the Magic won’t get a look at the best Brooklyn’s Disney bubble roster has to offer. The Nets ruled out Caris LeVert (left thigh contusion), Joe Harris (left groin contusion) and Jarrett Allen (left ankle sprain) for “injury management.’ Garrett Temple (rest) is also out, and Jamal Crawford (left hamstring strain) also remains sidelined.
Jonathan Isaac tore his ACL and underwent successful surgery in the time between Brooklyn and Orlando’s last meeting and Tuesday’s matchup. Also, Michael Carter-Williams (foot), Evan Fournier (illness) and Aaron Gordon (hamstring) are all doubtful against the Nets, leaving the Magic with:
- D.J. Augustin
- Mo Bamba
- Khem Birch
- Gary Clark
- James Ennis III
- Melvin Frazier Jr.
- Markelle Fultz
- Wes Iwundu
- BJ Johnson
- Vic Law
- Terrence Ross
- Nikola Vucevic
