Wow. This is incredibly impressive.
That’s the only way to put this video into words. It may be a short video, but it speaks volumes of the impressiveness and explosiveness of Neal.
Alabama lineman Evan Neal may be 360 pounds, but my goodness is he explosive.
As someone who works out regularly, I can attest for how hard this movement actually is.
Box jumps in and of themselves are difficult enough, but you add in a split jump, and it becomes a VERY difficult movement.
Alabama director of sports science Matt Rhea, posted the 2 second clip on Twitter, and it’s going viral for impressive reasons.

Neal, who is 6’7″ has continued to impress coaches.
Even David Ballou, the director of sports performance had this to say:
“We first worked with @ENeal73 when he was 14 years old. He has trained his butt off and changed his body. Power profile sitting at 83 and climbing. Bright future ahead!”
Neal, who is entering his sophomore season, will be a huge asset to the Crimson Tide’s offensive line this fall.
Last season, he played in several positions on the offensive line, but spent majority of his time at left guard. He was also named to the Freshman All-American by 247Sports and the FWAA while also being named to ESPN.com’s Freshman All-America team as well.
