Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams will quarantine for 10 days upon returning to the NBA bubble in Orlando as a result of a visit to an Atlanta strip club for what he said was a stop to get food (allegedly, it was for famous chicken wings).
Williams had been excused to leave the bubble in order to attend a family funeral. Now, he’ll miss two seeding games for the Clips and has been criticized for his actions. ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins called him out on Get Up!, saying, “Lou, you gotta do a better job. … (Williams) is a 16-year vet, he knows better. He should know how to be more mature.”
Williams responded on Twitter by ripping Perkins:
"I've been to Magic City, the wings are fire."
In all seriousness, @KendrickPerkins is urging Lou Williams to "do better." pic.twitter.com/0OdPwGcRy5

15 years in this business and the most dirt you have on my name is stopping to get hot wings during a pandemic. Perk. Shut up. And stop laughing and saying it’s just tv when you run into me too. https://t.co/2xnCpG9I1J

But I digress. I went home to see a man off to his final resting place that was a giant in my life. I don’t want that to get lost in all this attention. So again, LONG LIVE THE GREAT PAUL WILLIAMS SR. back to my quarantine so I can join the guys soon. Peace

Williams had tweeted last week that he wasn’t “partying” at the club and added #Maskedon #inandout to a tweet to explain what happened:
Ask any of my teammates what’s my favorite restaurant in Atlanta is. Ain’t nobody partying. Chill out lol #Maskon #inandout

Williams will miss the Clippers’ first game against the Lakers and a contest against the New Orleans Pelicans.
