Kevin Durant weighs in on Caris LeVert’s performance vs. Spurs

Caris LeVert was the driving force behind the Brooklyn Nets’ win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.

Much like the rest of his Brooklyn Nets teammates, Caris LeVert didn’t get off to a blazing start in the loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. He finished with 10 points, but he was unable to help the Nets put up a decent fight in their first Disney bubble scrimmage.

Saturday’s game was a much different story.

LeVert had his way with the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 27 points in 23 minutes of action in Brooklyn’s 124-119 win. He went 8-for-17 from the floor (3-for-9 from deep) and also had three steals and three assists.

And one of his teammates who isn’t in the bubble took notice.

Kevin Durant.

The superstar forward commented on an Instagram post from balldontstop, in which the account credited LeVert for his strong showing.

Durant felt similarly about his teammate’s performance, writing:

That was tough as nails @carislevert…got damn

LeVert and his Brooklyn teammates get back to work on Monday at 5:30 p.m. against the Utah Jazz.
