NBA Basketball will be back on television today for the first time since games stopped on March 11, with eight teams taking part in intrasquad scrimmages as they continue to ramp up their workload before the eight seeding games for all 22 teams at the Walt Disney World campus. And with today being the first day that games will be on television, the NBA launched a new ad campaign to let people know that the NBA is back, but it’s different this time, featuring Issa Rae.
The commercial teases that the games will be consumed in a new way, which is something the league has alluded to, with regards to the types of cameras and camera angles they will be using at the Disney campus.
The first scrimmage on Wednesday is scheduled for 12 p.m. pacific time between the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers. The game will be shown on NBA TV and all of the scrimmages will be available on NBA League Pass.
