Many star NFL players took to Twitter on Sunday and used the hashtag #WeWantToPlay in an effort to let the league know they want to play this season, but only in a safe environment.
Several Broncos players joined the campaign, including kicker Brandon McManus, the team’s NFLPA rep.
#WeWantToPlay The NFL continues to ignore the safety recommendations from their own experts. The health and safety of the players is paramount IF we want an NFL season. The NFL needs to provide a safe work environment for us to do that. #WeWantToPlay

It’s EVIDENT that #wewanttoplay but only under circumstances that keep us safe. Our health shouldn’t be an argument and you sure as hell can’t put a price on the lives of us players and our families @NFL… back off twitter as I was before just had to let y’all know ✌🏾
