Baseball is back. In addition to several intrasquad scrimmages around the country, there are three exhibition games on the schedule for Saturday, and baseball fans didn’t have to wait very long for the first real highlight of summer camp.
In the top of the first inning at Nationals Park, new Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius hit a three-run blast off Nats ace Max Scherzer to give Philadelphia an early lead.
Scherzer struggled early in the game, and after hitting a batter and giving up two hits in the first inning, Scherzer gave up three consecutive hits to open the second, leading to a sac fly and another three-run blast by Bryce Harper.
