The Brooklyn Nets signed three players in the last week — Jamal Crawford, Michael Beasley and Donta Hall — to help cut into the loss of seven players ahead of the NBA’s restart in the Disney World bubble.
Turns out, the Nets aren’t quite done adding players to their roster. And they may sign yet another ex-New York Knicks player — Crawford and Beasley being the two ex-Knicks Brooklyn has already signed ahead of the restart.
Lance Thomas — who played for the Knicks from 2014-15 to 2018-19 after playing for the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder his first few seasons in the NBA — is close to a deal with the Nets, according to Ian Begley of SNY.
The Nets are close to a deal with ex-Knick Lance Thomas, per SNY sources. Brooklyn currently has 13 players on its roster, including recent additions of Jamal Crawford, Michael Beasley and Donta Hall.

Like Beasley and Crawford, the Brooklyn native has yet to play in an NBA game this season. Thomas, a 6-foot-8 forward, appeared in 46 games for the Knicks in 2018-19, averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while playing 17 minutes a night.
Thomas spent time with the Nets before the 2019-20 season during training camp, but was ultimately cut ahead of the season.
