The Wolverines have one skill position player on offense currently committed in the 2021 class in Clayton (OH) Northmont wide receiver Markus Allen. But they’re looking to add more.

While much of the focus seems to be on California four-stars Cristian Dixon and Xavier Worthy, Michigan has been long after an in-state product in East Lansing (MI) three-star dual sport WR Andrel Anthony.

The football and basketball star got some visits when he was excelling on the hardwood before the coronavirus pandemic ‘safer at home’ orders by many in the Michigan brass, including head coach Jim Harbaugh. However, Michigan State, with new head coach Mel Tucker, as well as Penn State and Notre Dame, have made headway on his recruitment.

Still, the maize and blue are in a good spot, as Anthony released his top four on Saturday, which included the aforementioned four schools.

Tight ends coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Josh Gattis are leading the charge for the Wolverines. However, MSU currently holds 100% of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, with five votes coming in the Spartans favor.
