Report: Redskins sign OL Mike Liedtke to one-year deal

The Redskins signed Mike Liedtke to add some depth to their roster and pick up a decent special teams player.

According to NFL agent Brett Tessler, his client Mike Liedtke, an offensive lineman who last played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins.

Liedtke is a fifth-year player who can shift across all positions of the offensive line, though he mainly plays at the guard position. During his two seasons in Tampa Bay, he played in on 10 games, starting zero, but he played a fair amount of special teams at that time. This is a very low-profile signing for the Redskins, but it was done so in order to add depth to the line and give them a high-engine player who can help out in special teams.
