The aftermath of Sunday’s airing of the episodes 3 and 4 of “The Last Dance,” revealed that there are a lot of feelings that don’t go away with time, such as Michael Jordan’s resentful feelings towards the Detroit Pistons. And it appears that someone from the LeBron James universe hasn’t gotten over their own problems in the past when it comes to LeBron.
Former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach and highly decorated European coach David Blatt appear to call out LeBron James as selfish compared to Michael Jordan, after also suggesting that Jordan is bigger than LeBron, which in terms of shoe sales is difficult to argue, during an after-show on Israeli television following “The Last Dance.”
“Michael Jordan is bigger than LeBron James,” he pointed out on Sunday commenting on the latest episodes made available, “he won the most championships with one single team and did not focus on the “I” but on the “us”. But surely, in terms of ability and influence, they are both included in the top five best players in history.”
While Blatt is far from alone in the sentiment that Jordan had a bigger impact than Jordan, the gratuitous mention of focusing on the “I” and the “us,” shows he still has a lot of lingering resentment about his short tenure with the Cavaliers that ultimately ended months before they won their first NBA championship.
