Tulane Green Wave guard Teshaun Hightower has reportedly been charged with murder, aggravated assault, battery and possession of a firearm for his involvement in connection with a homicide, according to NBC Sports.
Hightower is one of six people believed to be involved in the shooting of Devante Anthony Long that occurred on the morning of April 8 in Stockbridge, Georgia. According to the Henry County police report, Hightower was taken into custody on April 25.
He is currently being held without bail and was due in court on Sunday.
Hightower averaged 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 30 games played as a junior with the Green Wave. He played the first two years of his collegiate career at Georgia before transferring to Tulane for the 2019-20 season.
Hightower declared for the NBA Draft on April 18.
