No position on the Raiders is more in need of in influx of talent than the linebacker position. And no linebacker set to hit the market would be a better addition than Cory Littleton. The only question was if the Raiders were going to make the linebacker position a priority for the first time in a very long time. Reports suggest, they will. And according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Littleton is a likely target at the start of free agency:
Hearing the #Raiders and #Packers are going to be all over free agent LB Cory Littleton when/if the FA tampering window officially opens tomorrow. He is a popular target.

The free agency negotiating period opens Monday (tomorrow) the 16th at 9 a.m. Pacific time (noon E.T.)
Littleton sat atop the Raiders free agent wish list for linebackers I put out recently as well as a key piece of what I deemed would make up a perfect free agency for the Raiders.
The 26-year-old is the complete package at linebacker. He had 134 combined tackles, four sacks, five quarterback hits, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions. So, not only was a tackle machine, he showed rare coverage ability for an inside linebacker. Just what the Raiders need.
And they would need a couple more linebackers after that, so even if they get Littleton, they won’t be done after that.
