Ben McLemore, Eric Gordon listed as questionable for Tuesday

Mike D’Antoni says his Rockets need to be less hesitant on 3-pointers, and Gordon and McLemore are among Houston’s top volume shooters.

Reserve guards Eric Gordon (sore knee) and Ben McLemore (gastroenteritis) are each listed as questionable to make their return to the Houston Rockets in Tuesday night’s home game versus Minnesota.

The Rockets (39-24) are badly in need of a victory, having tied a season-long losing streak of four games. Gordon missed each of the last two games, while McLemore sat out Sunday’s loss to Orlando.

Gordon is averaging 14.5 points in 28.6 minutes per game this season, while McLemore is scoring 9.9 points in 23.0 minutes. McLemore’s 39.2% clip on 3-pointers is the highest among players to have played at least 10 games with the Rockets, who shoot more 3-pointers than any NBA team.

Head coach Mike D’Antoni believes his smaller Rockets need to be less hesitant from 3-point range, and Gordon and McLemore are each among the team’s top four volume shooters from behind the arc with 8.5 and 6.3 attempts per game, respectively.

D’Antoni and the Rockets will look to begin turning things around when they host the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves (19-44) on Tuesday at Toyota Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Central time.
