Tennessee came late to the party for 4-star cornerback Avante Dickerson, and the Vols will have to battle it out against Dickerson’s home state Nebraska Cornhuskers.

A 6-foot-1, 180-pound corner from Omaha, Dickerson is right in the heart of Cornhusker country and has been pursued heavily by Nebraska head coach Scott Frost and his staff. Rated a 4-star and the No. 8 cornerback in the 2021 class, Dickerson is also the top-rated player in the state of Nebraska.
LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are the only other SEC schools to offer Dickerson, but Texas, Iowa, Michigan and Duke are all in the mix as well.
