One of the hallmarks of Troy Polamalu’s game, when he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was his absolute lack of ego. Polamalu’s game was never about anything more than everything to help his team win. Polamalu’s amazing career was rewarded on Saturday when he got the knock and was told he will part of the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Polamalu made it on the first ballot.
Steelers reporter Missi Matthews caught up with an emotional Polamalu and we once again saw a man who lives like he played. Polamalu was selfless and gave credit to his teammates for what he accomplished, even noting he wasn’t deserving.
"It's surreal."@tpolamalu spoke with @missi_matthews just moments after receiving word that he’d been selected as a member of the @ProFootballHOF Class of 2020. #PFHOF20 pic.twitter.com/EPPh3o8YoO
