New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson threw down his first dunk in the NBA on Friday night as the No. 1 overall pick put the first points on the board for his team.
Williamson earned his second start of the season as the Pelicans hosted the Denver Nuggets at Smoothie King Center. For his first points of the game, he connected with Jrue Holiday on an alley-oop dunk.
Williamson followed up his first career dunk with a layup in the post after putting a move on a Nuggets defender. He exited the game with four points after four minutes of work in his first stint of the game.

The plan for Williamson in his second game will be similar to that of his first game: Multiple, short spurts. He logged 18 minutes on Wednesday and mostly played in four-minute stretches until his 17-point outburst in the fourth quarter forced head coach Alvin Gentry to keep him in the game.
Williamson finished with 22 points in his debut game vs. the Spurs.
