Although opposing coaches have expressed Spencer Dinwiddie has proven he is worthy of being in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, fans have not shown that they feel the same way.
In the first set of returns, Dinwiddie was among the top-10 for Eastern Conference guards in the fan vote. In the second set, he was out-voted and the third set of returns, which came out on Thursday, did not feature Dinwiddie.
However, Kyrie Irving is still doing well. Brooklyn’s starting point guard is the only Nets player featured among the guards or forwards in the Eastern Conference. Since the first set of returns, Irving has been at the No. 2 spot among Eastern Conference guards.
Irving, who has received 1,814,618 votes, only trails Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, who has received 2,066,924 votes.
The leading vote-getter among all NBA players is Irving’s old teammate and current Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James with 4,747,887 votes.
