Report: FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer says Cowboys have told Jason Garrett he is out as head coach

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reports the Dallas Cowboys have parted ways with head coach Jason Garrett.

The never-ending carousel ride for Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys has come to a stop, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.

The NFL Insider reported Sunday afternoon the Cowboys have told Garrett he is out as their head coach.

This comes a couple days after a convoluted ESPN report the team was moving on from its coach of eight-plus seasons.

If you are wondering who is next, Oddshark.com has Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley as the heavy favorite to replace Garrett.

This would not be the first time Jerry Jones has looked to Norman, OK, for a head coach. He replaced Jimmy Johnson with Barry Switzer in 1994, years after Switzer was done coaching the Sooners.
