In his first year with the Brooklyn Nets, DeAndre Jordan has taken on a different role than the one he’s had in years past. He’s always been a starter, but now he backs up Nets center Jarrett Allen on most nights.
For a veteran who’s set to make $40 million over the next four years — while playing alongside his friends, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving — taking on a new role isn’t always the easiest thing to do. But Jordan has still found a way to be productive.
The big man scored a season-high 16 points against the Hornets on Friday and bumped his rebounds per game average to 9.4 after grabbing 13.
But Jordan has done more than get boards, protect the rim and finished the occasional alley-oop pass from Spencer Dinwiddie. He’s also managed to dominate the internet.
He’s served as a fake security guard at a party.
