With a new crop of players set to play, Rookie Wire took a look at some of the best Christmas Day performances by rookie players.

2017: Kyle Kuzma, Los Angeles Lakers

Kyle Kuzma turned in quite a performance just two years ago for the upstart Lakers.

The 27th overall pick that season recorded 31 points, four assists, three rebounds and one block in a 121-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center.

Kuzma finished by shooting 8-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-11 from 3-point range. His 3-pointers tied a record with Ryan Anderson (2011) and Kevin Love (2017) for the most on Christmas Day.

Kuzma and the Lakers will be back in action on Wednesday as L.A. plays on Christmas Day for the 21st consecutive season. The Lakers have the most wins (23) on the holiday.
